For timber decking, our full restoration process can include washing, chemical cleaning, sanding and the application of a protective decking oil. The exact process is suited to the condition of the timber.

02Why does decking need to be sanded before oiling?

Sanding helps remove weathered timber and remaining surface imperfections while creating a smoother, more consistent surface. It also prepares the timber to accept the new protective oil.

03Will decking oil change the colour of my decking?

It can. The final appearance will depend on the timber, its condition and the oil selected. We can discuss the finish beforehand so you can choose between maintaining a more natural appearance or enhancing the colour of the timber.
